Hi, new to Lemmy. Is there a Lemmy instance for people seeking hope and community action about the awful state of the environment? Feeling desperate for guidance navigating eco-grief and paralyzing dread of the climate emergency and the New Normal.
Seriously, we need to band together, forget our differences, and fight for a livable planet, because it’s the only planet we got. It’s all our own doing that the sky in half the country is red and smoky. Living as we do in the Before Times is no longer an option, and we need to spread the word.

I’ve never visited, but when I was doing research for which instance to join, I saw slrpnk.net listed, which describes itself as “Solarpunk imagines a world in which today’s existential threat - the climate crisis - is being approached with camaraderie and adaptive ingenuity.”
